The tomb of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, a 19th century rabbi who became known among the Hasidic movement across the globe for combining the secrets of Judaism, the Kabbalah, with in-depth Torah scholarship, is a destination for thousands of Jews from all over the world. For the occasion of the new Jewish year, the Ukrainian town of Uman becomes a center for pilgrims of the stream of Breslov who come to pray and dance next to the rabbi's tomb.
